Delivered new to the current and only owner in 1993 the car was immediately stored in a heated garage where it has remained until this auction. With only 151 miles under its wheels which were all done on the Jaguar test track, this XJ220 is as described by the vendor to be in ‘as new’ condition and represents perhaps the last true delivery mileage XJ220 in existence.

Finished in the classic XJ220 colour scheme of silver with a smoke hide interior this right hand drive example has never been registered for the road. Sellers description:
It is reported that just 277 cars were produced in total of which only 70 were right hand drive, this car; customer number 159, is one of those such derivatives. A true time-warp, it displays a mere 173 miles from new, 8 of which were recently covered by Jaguar Heritage at service and the balance are understood to have been carried out by Jaguar Sport prior to initial delivery. To this date it is still yet to be registered for road use but has always remained in UK-based private ownership therefore a new owner could become its first registered keeper.

The statement of origin on file from Jaguar Cars denotes that 159 was manufactured by Jaguar Sport Ltd. on the 19th April 1993 and as one would expect, the car is in superb condition throughout. Finished in Spa Silver with Smoke Grey interior, it was kept in the first owner's private museum until 2009 when it was sold via Coys auction house to a well-known UK-based collector. Remaining static and in storage it was sold it to the current owner in 2015 via Oakfields.
