    1993 Jaguar XJ220
    LOT: 207
    Estimate:
    £110,000-£140,000
    Chassis No. SAJJEAEX84X220759
AUCTION RESULTS: Lot was Sold at a price of £132.000

    542bhp, 3,498 cc 24-valve twin-turbocharged V-6 engine, five-speed manual transmission, four-wheel independent suspension, and four-wheel vented disc brakes. Wheelbase: 103.9" (2,640mm)

The beautiful XJ220 offered here is finished in silver with a grey leather interior. Although this particular car was produced in 1993 it was only sold to its first owner in 1997, by UK-based specialist and dealer William Loughran. As presented, the car has only 5,500 kilometres registered on the odometer. It is offered with the Jaguar-related registration number and is also accompanied by a Jaguar Heritage Certificate.

Shortly after its initial sale, this XJ220 went to Jaguar specialists, Don Law Racing, where it was fitted with a sports exhaust and a brake system upgrade. The car was subsequently serviced in 2007 and has been driven and enjoyed on occasion without any problems whatsoever.

This XJ220 is immaculate and comes complete with all its original books, records, tools, first aid kit, original press release, sales brochure and numerous magazines and videos as well as a gold XJ220 presentation model with a related certificate. It is rare indeed to find an XJ220 in such good condition, properly maintained and cared for all its life and complete with a very comprehensive file.

This car must be seen, heard and driven to fully appreciate what a masterpiece of engineering design it is. Intended to compete with the likes of Ferrari and Lamborghini, less than 300 examples were ever built in a short production run that began in 1992. This particular example, very nicely presented with just 5,500 kilometres from new, remains a splendid example of Jaguar’s exhilarating supercar of the 1990s.
